ivermectin doesn't get tape, at least not in dogs and horses. That's when you use fenbendazole or the newer moxidexin stuff. Do they make that for chickens, too?

ANSWER GLH
yes agricultural limestone is okay but the best is HYDRATED SLAKE LIME bought at the lumber yard
not cement finishers lime

always wear a mask with DE and Hydrated lime as it is fine powder and may blow in the wind

I always used it on my compost piles each time I added new manure to the pile
it kills flies and odors very well
also is great when added to the garden to be tilled in for growing good vege's
hydrated lime keeps the blight off tomatoes also if in the soil

ALSO always keep the old feed sacks, tires, lumber piles and any other old garbage stacked around the place as mice and rats like to breed in these places.

also taking 1 qt of kerosene and 1 qt of oil any kind even new car oil and mixing and take a paint brush and paint it on the wood areas of the chicken coop and especially the knot hjoles in the wood and cracks in the wood as that is where the mites and lice live

also old filthy bedding is another place for mites and lice to lay eggs and live when not on your birds

so do put the hydrated lime on the manure piles each day

ALSO IMPORTANT
when worming chickens DO NOT FEED EGGS TO CHICKENS as they will also have the wormer in it and only kep you from eating the eggs

any questions just email me

iF YOUR BIRDS WERE THAT FULL OF TAPEWORMS i SUPPOSE THAT YOU REWPRMED THEM WITH THE MEDICATION

that is why the tapes are still coming out
they are hard to get rid of

so I would reworm them
Curious to know how many days did you stop eating the eggs?

also
FOR THOSE WHO EXPRESSED COMCERN
people can't get worms from chickens manure

the animals get tape worms from the host of earth worms, wild birds manure they eat, also DARKLING BEETLES which make those worms people feed chickens

also CHICKEN WORMS especially round worms can and do get into the egg as it is made
especially if the chicken is so infected
I have seen people with this in their eggs

so my advice is to feed cayenne pepper daily in the chicken feed
3 tbsp of cayenne pepper to gallon of feed
it will get the worms

any questions email me
