I have looked all over BYC and on the internet and I have no idea what these girls are. They lay light brown eggs, probably medium/large in size, and most days I get 3 eggs a day (the bantam isn't laying yet or I'd have 3 1/2 lol). They are pretty chatty and often sound like they're laughing, and sometimes one will carry on like she's laying an egg but when I check there isn't one. Seem to prefer to forage more than the feeder and love treats (although I'm gathering that is pretty standard chicken behavior). Didn't take them long to recognize the sound of the scrap bucket (a graniteware bean pot/chamber pot I found at goodwill! It makes a clangy sound when I come out the door and they're right by the gate when I get there, craning their necks to see what I have). These are my first hens (plus a bonus bantam my friend said was a Sebright, she wasn't sure what these girls are either). I don't have a lot to compare them to, but they seem friendly enough to me, although they don't necessarily run to you begging to be held or anything. I have uploaded the best pictures I have of them, I hope they're helpful, I'm really curious what these girls are! Thank you!
