What are y'all cookin for dinner tonight??? LOOK RECIPE ADDED!!!!

The later I eat dinner, the later I go to bed, and therefore the less sleep I get and the later I get into work. Oh the never ending cycle.

I'd like to get into work about an hour before I currently am, which translates to eating dinner an hour before I do, which means I should be eating around 7:00pm or so. I get back from work around 5:30, then I like to relax a bit...

Current dinner is 8, but that is too late. *sigh* silkiechicken, where are you!!

And if cooking is just throwing things into a pot with spices and cooking it till it is a paste, sure, I can cook one item then, curry. Don't start to drool on yourself now!

Southernchick,

My wife used to be that way before she started back to work and boy do i miss it. She still spoils me, but the home cooking has been replaced with whatever we can throw together when we get home. The weekends are a little different, she will cook and i usually grill something. As far as what we cooking tonight - nothing- I am going to take her out for a nice dinner.

Well aren't you sweet. My husband is probably coming home with a case of beer and we'll sit outside drinking. That's our "bonding time".

Now there is nothing wrong with that either. Drinks beer, cooks while partially dressed, brings my food to me, DANG that's my kinda woman

I'm with you southern28chick.
Beers on the deck, maybe a couple single barrel bourbon on the rocks. After that who cares what's for supper?
Only difference is the Gf will sit with me and watch me drink, she doesn't. That's ok, it's still bonding time. Plus, there is more for me!

Wow, all this talk about dinner is making me hungry. Hot here, too, so we'll be having waffles (homemade from my great grannies recipe) smothered with fresh strawberries and LOTS of fresh whipped cream! Cool, easy for me, and oohhh so yummy!
