What are y'all cookin for dinner tonight??? LOOK RECIPE ADDED!!!!

Cooking? DH did the shrimp on the foreman grill tonight. I was outside spraying down the horses. Humidity for the last few days was in the high sixties. Tonight it is in the high eighties! I think it is salad weather.

Years ago when i worked in the tobacco market we had an August like this. Never cooled off. One of our farmers came in one morning and said his wife had gotten frisky the night before. He told her to "keep it til the frost".

I have a sign in my kitchen that says....I have a kitchen because it came with the house..... that says it all! Who has time to cook, aren't you out there chasing the chickens home?? Making their treats??? What's the matter with you people? And you say you love your chickens!

When the kids were all home, I cooked all the time. Now, I'm tired of cooking. Hey Krisrose, it's pizza night! Are we going out for pizza tonight? Oh, wait, I get the grandkids today for the week end... you mean I have to cook for them?? Naw, there's a McDonalds down the road!

It wasn't super hot here, but I took advantage of the crock pot. I wanted a roast without the hot oven on. So we had roast, taters, and corn on the cob. My neighbor brought us a melon from her garden and that was dessert.

Southernchick- we have a pool, so sometimes when I'm cooking I get really hot and go jump in for a minute, then my DH loves it if I stay in my bathing suit while I finish cooking

It does help me stay cooler

just got to this, I did chicken on the grill and corn on the cob, the bad thing was I started the grill and the thunderstorms arrived so I'm out at the grill trying to stay dry under an umbrella, whatever it takes tonight its steak Londonbroil sliced thin with zuchinea also cooked on the grill

And if your gonna eat veggies out of the can its suppose to be pork and beans or cream style corn

...And 'Southern28Chick' - Are you two newlyweds? Fab' dishes for dinner, "my guy has to eat", "to hot to cook so I wear less clothes, etc" ... too cute ~ just like newlyweds! ...Just wonderin'...Not to mention, a lil' envious!

We've been married for 3 years, living together for 4 years and been together 6 years.

I really like to cook so I try to make something different every night to experiment. Like I said before, he works...I don't. So when he gets home I cook and (don't make fun of me) I set up his TV tray in the living room and I make his plate and bring to to him. That's just the way I think it should be.

I think that's sweet of you Southern28. Usually when the weather gets cooler, I get more in the mood for cooking. But we have central A/C so even when it's hot and you can't really do anything outside, I go in and rummage thru some cookbooks and come up with something. Lots of times we have what Terrie has - breakfast for dinner.

I never tried duck eggs, are they like chicken eggs in flavor?
