What are y'all cookin for dinner tonight??? LOOK RECIPE ADDED!!!!

Let's see.. we had sliced ham, baked beans, tatersalad, dressed eggs, yeast rolls. For desert I made a choc. chess pie, and a white sheet cake with icing. The deserts of course were a reason to use my nice rich homegrown eggs. But they were so small I had to use 2 to equal 1 large egg. We ate as soon as the kids got home from school, they are usually chomping at the bit for a feed bag. I'm done with dishes and ready to chill the rest of the evening.

My DH LOVES breakfast for dinner!!! It's usually eggs (store bought until my girls lay), sausage, hasbrowns and my homemade southern style buttermilk biscuits.

Our most favorite is fried chicken, but we're trying to be healthy. They aren't our chickens though.

As far as heat goes...it was 104 today. But still my guy has to eat. In fact the hotter it is when I cook the less clothes I wear and then DH will hang out with me while I cook.

WOW1 My Southern Belle Grama used to make that all the time. In fact, I have her old handwritten recipe garnished with what to do in case ANYTHING imaginable goes wrong. It is about 4 pages! LOL

Mmmmm, I love making pizza. I've been on an oatmeal / whole wheat bread kick lately so I tried that combo for the last pizza dough I made --- wow!

Dressed eggs? Is that like deviled eggs? I have to cook around Hubby's cholesterol issues so HAM is only on the menu for special occasions (HAM in caps, because we love HAM. Turkey is the new HAM around here).

I can hardly wait for my duck, Zoe, to start laying so I can try duck eggs.

We rarely have time to make breakfast in the mornings, so we like it for dinner.

Dipsy, duck eggs are the best! Over medium with sourdough toast to dunk inthe huge gorgeous yolks!

I am just a typical guy after all.

Oh yeah, I grilled steak and potatoes for dinner. By the time i was finished I was too hot and yucky feeling to eat.

DQ for me and my family LOL along with some ice cream! Was planning on making some baked brats with corn on cob, homemade bacon flavored green beans with a good dose of cantalope and watermelon pieces. But hubby wanted DQ so I can not argue with him on that one LOL.

Too hot to cook anything around here even it is 104 degrees outside heat index.....

Love grilled pizza, try it out, its great!

Made gazpacho and salad and lemonade. Nice and cool!! For dessert, I put chocolate chip cookies in the fridge. Today the temp was 101 degrees with a heat index of 108.

Froze bowls of water for giant ice cubes for the chickens. They kept putting their face next to the ice blocks!!
