I am terrified of what the super-wealthy are doing with their money to control our government and the future of this country's less fortunate and powerless citizens. I am also terrified of the naivete of so many citizens' thinking that they're part of that group, even though they don't have anything close to a "fortune"; many or most of them are not even "middle-class" anymore.

I am terrified of germs. People who have colds, etc. who sneeze and cough without covering their mouth and their germs and droplets linger in the air terrify me. I tend to "over-disinfect" my house, my office, my computer mouse, my stapler, my phone, the light switch, the door knob, my remote control, toilet handle, refrigerator handle, microwave knobs and everything else that a sick person touches. I am terrified when I go to the store and someone sneezes or coughs down the aisle that I am on. I have to immediately leave that aisle to get away from that person and their germs. I cannot walk through the area where that person has coughed or sneezed. If a cashier sneezes or coughs in her hand before giving me my change back, I ask her nicely to please get another person to give me my change. I nicely explain to her that I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and I don't handle spreading germs too well. They never have a problem.

My fear of germs is equivalent to people who are afraid of spiders, snakes, etc.

I am terrified of drowning. So, driving over bridges with deep water under them is scary, too. No cruises for me, either. Or deep sea fishing...
Other than that, I don't fear death and I've come close a couple of times.

cooties and frogs. Cooties are worse than germs, because you can't wash them off. sometimes you can get them just by proximity... sometimes they can travel through the air and contaminate... like when my mother in law is eating, at the far end of the table, and chews with her mouth open... then I can't eat anymore, since the entire idea of food has been cootie-fied.... and as far as frogs go, they are just disgusting, and they could hop in your mouth.
