What are you baking now?

About 11 years ago I took up the art of porcelain (or China) painting and really liked it. Then after about 2 years I moved on to welding (to make yard art) and put the painting away. Well, I just found a new teacher here and started taking classes again. I'll have to post some of my work. My problem is that love ALL kinds of art and usually have three to four different types going on at once. Right now I have the China painting, a knitted beaded purse, and a Peyote stitch beaded bag all going at the same time. Somewhere in there I'm still trying to learn to bake bread!

And then there's all the canning that needs to get done.

I have just started taking classes for oil painting. I weld...but that was in a steel plant. LOL

Today I made a cherry pie using the pie crust recipe from the BYC cookbook by The Chicken Lady. The cherry filling recipe is from Miss Prissy's blog

The bread is The Fabulous Gump Bread and I added 2 c shredded cheese, 1/4 cup diced onion and about 4 slices crisp bacon, crumbled.

Terrie, you have to try the other pie fillings. If you get your hands on good fruit this summer try to put a couple jars of each away in your pantry.

The blueberry from yesterday is the best yet.
