What are you baking now?

Got my olive bread made last night. I was bummed since one stuck to the tea towel and lost its volume and only rose about half way. But it will still taste good and no one will know once its cut up. Have the plain ones rising and will bake off tonight. I did use my crock pot liner which worked great -but dummy me

- I didn't even think about the fact that the handle on the lid was plastic when I threw it in the oven to heat up. Then what is that plastic smell!

- well you guessed it - melted the whole thing nice and flat all over the top and I was able to get it off after it cooled for a minute. Fortunately, the knob is put on with a bolt and we can replace it. So I just covered the liner with foil and it worked fine - so will do that in the future and no one melted knobs. That is what happens when I have too much going on in the evenings.

Ok......I heard about a Tres Leche Cake on one of Alton Brown's TV shows "Good Eats". Unfortunately I missed getting the recipe. Is it wonderful? Can you share the recipe or tell me where to find it? I don't get to bake much since I am caring for 2 elderly parents full time, but I want to try and make this one.

Thanks.....

I made French Baguettes--trying to reproduce the true French Baguette but I just can't get the crust crunchy enough (even adding steam to the oven) and the inside is still too dense.

All in all they are still very yummy

I just made a batch of these Pumpkin Spice Muffins...they're very good. I didn't put any of the frosting on them because, well, I don't have any cream cheese..I'm not a fan of frosting anyway.

For whoever asked about a Tres Leche Cake recipe here is Pioneer Woman's recipe. I don't know if you were looking for a specific recipe or not, but all her recipes are good.
