YUUUUUUMMY! My list of things I wanna make is getting so long! There are some fantastic recipes through BYC!

I am making gift platters for Christmas with biscotti, fudge, rum balls and rugelach. Do any of you experts know when I can start making this stuff to give out on Christmas Eve so it's fresh? I know I can do the rum balls this week and the rugelach will also store well but when can I start on the fudge or biscotti so it's still nice and fresh? Thanks.

Seems her last post was on 11/09/09 and she deleted her last five posts???? Don't know what is going on?

Hope she's OK!

Ozark Hen - While I have you here - I want to make your biscotti recipe for my Christmas platters - how long will it stay fresh? Do I have to make it a day or two before and whats the best way to store it? Thanks.

I use zip lock bags and have mailed them across country. I can attest they will be fresh for at least two weeks, no one has ever had them longer than that. Hope that helps you? I know you can always you one of the Food Savers and suck the air out for a longer shelf life.

Thanks! I'll start on it next weekend then. I want to make the almond/chocolate biscotti. If it comes out really good I'm going to eat it all and make another batch anyway
