What are you baking now?

I always wanted a kitchenaide stand mixer but $350 for a mixer is a bit much. Well i came home the other day to a big box on my steps that i could hardly move. I opened it up and wallah! My husband surprised me with one and he did great on the color too. He must be buttering me up for something and it is apparently big.

and here was my first creation with it. So yummy! They came out incredible. Just like the ones from the mall. Some were salted and some i covered in cinnamon and sugar.

Wow those look great, cinnamon sugar on mine please.

Fresh garlic and herb bread to go with spaghetti, and a blueberry crumble for desert.  Pics once they are done.

my mouth started to water just reading this! I'm the only one in my family that loooooooves garlic. I try and sneak it in a lot but my husband complains. Garlic bread is one of life simple pleasures.

The pies look fabulous! nummy, nummy ,nummy!

I don't get pie anymore, DH has taken this Weight Watchers so serious and he knows if we have pie in the house, we will eat it all in one sitting.

The pies were great! The crust was very tasty and flaky. I ate all of the crust which I don't often do. The lemon got the Merangue treatment but I cooked it a bit dark. My Middle daughter loved it though--reminded her of Camp Marsmallows! The Chocolate was rich too and we had home made whipped cream to top it.

I hope you survive the DHs diet....
