I almost have to make DH his own loaf! Today I am bringing a loaf for one of my co-worker. Since DH ran his mouth about how good it is, she has to have some now LOL!

I wanna take my potato peeler and slice some apples really thin and layer them in the bread with cinnimon and sugar. I think that would make a great breakfast loaf. I never thought about meats. Do you cook the meat first or is it raw when you roll it up?

I cook the meat first.I made one with chicken, bacon, parmasean ,mozzerella and alfredo sauce rolled up in it and they are still talking about it at DH work. You should try that with the apples in it I bet it would turn out real gooood! I use the gump bread dough for cinnamon rolls and bread bowls too!

How do you make a bread bowl? Do you need a round dish or something to put it in, or do you just plop your dough on a cookie sheet and let it cook? I'd fill it with artichoak dip

For the bread bowls- After the first rise I split the dough into 4 sections and make balls out of them :then let it rise again and then just bake it as usual. Then cut the top/center.I like to fill them with homemade stew......so yummy.

The last time I stuffed bread I used ham, salami, provolone, roasted red peppers, garlic powder and Italian seasoning.

Made three loaves of gumpsbread into a type of Stromboli, I guess you would call them? I put all my spices into the dough before rising, then after it was rolled out I smothered them with fried turkey Italian sausage, caramelized onions, black olives and tons of shredded cheese. Rolled up and let rise then brushed them with egg mixture and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. Then topped with either marinara sauce or pesto sauce. We literally pigged out. Neighbors helped us.
