It was the best apple pie I have ever made!! Ok, here are the biscotti pics. Oh, said in an earlier post that I made two logs from the biscotti dough? I was making a double batch when I did that.
Only thing I do differently...are you ready? I cream all wet ingredients (include the sugar)first then add baking powder and the rest of the dry ingredients. Nothing fancy, just toss them in and mix them up.

First pic is of the dough formed into a sort of log. Wider than taller. I used craisins and black walnuts in this batch.

After baking for forty minutes I let the log rest and cool for thirty minutes and then sliced with serrated knife into even slices..not too thin now! Then bake for an additional 12-15 min.

Now for the finished product. These I leave plain. They are wonderful as is.

Oh, I cut off the end pieces..very thin..for the cook!
Edited for all the spelling mistakes and yes, I do have ieSpell! LOL

Yes, recipe is on first page, post number 4. I learn the pic tutorial from Miss Prissy. I know it has helped me a lot in cooking/baking from looking at her pics.

just got done with two loaves of Amish White. one for a friend who hasn't eaten in several days due to a lovely case of the flu. (sending with some homemade soup made with our own chicken of course!)

edited to add: to make the bread all purty and shiny-like...rub with butter when you pull it out of the oven and then let cool.

to keep moist, bag it when it's just about cooled completely. (babymakes5 passed the moisture keeper along to me awhile back and it really makes a difference!!!)
