What are you baking now?

Hi,
Eight pounds is a lot of cookies .... have you used a quarter of the recipe?
Thanks

I have no done this recipe broken down into less. However, you can freeze unused dough!

I always gave about 1/2 lb of cookies per person. Trust me, they'll eat them quickly! lol

My mom and I used to make these. We would start at Thanksgiving.
They go great with Russian Tea!
Oh, the memories!

I have a question though... I don't have a mixer with a bread hook, or a bread machine or anything. Do I need one?

I am okay, I just needed to start making and freezing doughs earlier in the year. NEXT year I will be smarter.

And, I am making those cookies! (next year.)

I just wanna sleep you guys! Seriously... SLEEP!

I don't know why, but hubby missed out on the eclairs then told me he's NEVER had an eclair before at 9pm last night. So guess what I did... even though my back said "GO TO BED!" I made more eclairs just for us. Now I'm regretting it. So this afternoon rather then bake with my daughter like she asked, I'm going to be mean mommy. After we go to the coat drive, I'm coming home and sleeping for the rest of the afternoon! HAHAHAHA

Before I had my Kitchenaid, I used to knead my bread by hand. I'd stir with a wooden spoon, gradually adding flour until it was too stiff to stir, then I'd knead it for 10-15 minutes. The biggest thing is not adding too much flour. This recipe will be very satiny and smooth, the dough will be somewhat sticky and moist, but not so sticky that you can't handle it.

Hope that helps!
