Tonight I was trying a new sourdough bread recipe. Went in to check near the end of the baking time and.....hmmmmm.......is that odd smell the bread??? Noooooo......it was the smell of a smoldering pot holder. I had left it on the rack when I preheated the oven just a minute then set the bowl of dough to rise on top of........yep! the pot holder. I didn't see it still on the oven rack when I put the loaves in to bake at 375. But....the bread taste yummy!
