What are you canning now?

BTW, the red jalapenos in the stovetop smoker turned out great! You're right about the flavor of fresh chipotle....it's cosmic.

I did the smoker and then put them in the dehydrator, then into the grinder. Got about 1/4 cup of bright red awesomeness.

The past few days I have canned 8 half pints of raspberry jam, 9 half pints of blueberry jam, 14 quarts of apple pie filling, and 8 half pints + 3 (12 oz) jars of apple juice. Tomorrow I'll start chicken stock, we're just about out. This thread is so motivating for me, thanks for sharing everyone!

So you can bottle chicken stock? I didn't know that, I've always used up a lot of room in my freezer.
 
Okay, question about the jars. I've found some really cheap ones in a local store but they have a one piece lid not the two pieces like the ball jars. Does it make a lot of difference which type I use?
