What are you canning now?

Calcium Chloride...................
I have a question for those of you that use this in your pickling recipes.
Does it matter if it is powdered or liquid? I can order liquid with my Hoegger's order and that would save me a separate shipping fee.
If you have used the liquid form of calcium chloride, how much did you add per quart?

Yellow squash refresher needed: Sorry, my brain is a bit scrambled having a sixth month old in the house

. Can someone tell me what needs to be done to prepare yellow squash for freezing?? I am going to slice them and I usually quick freeze before bagging them up but do a blanch or steam and for how long?

Hot dogs, hamburgers, sandwiches, salads, pizza toppings, salads, onion bread......

Not quite like pearl onions, a little zippier and far easier to work on a hot dog
