Double that and the apple butter was soooooooo tasty I ate it on toast and in my cereal! I also still have more apples might have to make some pumpkin apple butter, but my crookpot has a slight crack to it, might have to invest to get throught this winter, plus more canning jars, I also have another 20 lbs of figs and am looking for a recipe for Dilly Beans. There is a recipe on All recipes for B&B pickles that's out of this world
I added red bell pepper for color and also loads of garlic and jalapenos we popped one the other night after they chilled and yummy it will get a 5 star plus from me!

Thanks to whoever gave me the recipe for Mulled Applesauce it was very good. Hope thats all besides the regular canned pumpkin as always!
Also need to can my jalapenos and string the chiles from hell my husband planted!

I bought everything to make red pepper jelly this week. This is just so insanely delicious doled over a block of cream cheese and spread on a Wheat Thin. We have a little local what's for dinner store and they're charging $7.50 a pint! No dice. I'm going to make my own using this recipe. http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Spicy-Red-Pepper-Jelly-236699

Going
to put it in some pretty little squat 1/2 pint designer jars and share some with my friends for Christmas. Pictures to come.

That sounds like a great idea Tocks...you could even make it a baslet presentation sith a box of the chosen crackers. a block of the cheese, your jam and a pretty Christmas plate and a little spreader! Dont forget to include a picture of what they should do...what a nice gift! Terri O--who is great with ideas but not so great with the follow-thru!

Oh killer! I have 2 pints and 2 1/2 pints of the hot pepper jelly in the water bath. I gave it a taste and WOW! It is WAY hotter then my last batch. I added 4 cayenne peppers this time, and cut down on the jalepeno's. Those cayenne made all the difference!

Careful with competition....

I've seen the jam/preserves grow on Etsy quite a bit in the last few months. There are 3 major competitors on there... that will affect anyone new. And the most important things are 'photos', Feedback and selection if you want to compete.

I only really want to specialize on interesting wine jellies, photos, no problem I am an amateur photographer, feedback, well I guess that only comes with time? I need to do something even if it's wrong. I have no "slush fund" like heaven forbid my car went up I'd be in trouble. I figured using hobbies to make a little savings account might not be a bad idea. I tend to live fairly check to check. I need to change that slowly.

Been pretty busy lately but did manage to get some more of the Haberano Mustard Glaze made. I decided to add the "Glaze" part to it since does not a true mustard taste but put on a ham or pork roast it should be YUMMY. Going to try that this weekend.

We finally have tomatoes that are getting ripe so need to can off some of those.

I just scored on canning supplies at Lowes, they are clearing out for the season and I got 21 boxes of regular mouth lids for .50 a box and wide mouth rings for 1.00, the Ball Blue canning book was 1.97 and the pickling packets were .72 and they had pickle crisp for .72.
You all might want to check your local Lowes
