Just got the call from the farm, they heading to get the apples from the mountains this week. So I put in my order for 3 boxes of winesap or cortland apples. Both are awesome for my apple butter. Whatever they can get me is great!

Getting ready to put the greens
in the garden, collards, mustard, kale.
I have never canned these, but I think
this will be the year. With all the October
beans I've dried and vacuumed packed,
I just gotta can some greens! I hope I'll
have some eggs to devil!
 
i made jelly from wild black gum trees and it tastes freakin awesome, it was a real pain in the butt picking them all though
