What are you canning now?

I plan to can and uncan today

. First I am going to take the 20+ open jars in the top of my fridge and make an upside down jam cake for the Firefighters downtown. They will be working hard to save peoples lives and belongings.

Here's a link to what's going on here. I am high and dry but there are so many who are not so fortunate. Please send them your prayers.

unfortunately they are all: mustards, relishes, pickles, and sauces.

Last year I made green tomato relish. It was really good, I use it in potato salad and macaroni just like you would pickle relish. I haven't bought store made relish in a year. Great in egg salad and deviled eggs too.

I have some pickled green tomatoes in the frig...they are awesome. Sorry I don't have the recipe(they were given to me), but they taste similar to bread & butter pickle flavor.
