What are you canning now?

Mmmm... or with a spoon. Yes, i see me hiding in closet with a jar of cherry jam and a spoon. Share with the family, you say? not if they don't know about it.

I just scored 26lbs of Santa Rosa Plums, and 36lbs of peaches (with lots more peache to come)

I will make jam and chutney with the plums.....and some peaches are destined for jam. Any other good peach canning recipes?
I have heard you can freeze them whole....but have never tried it.

Not canning, but Peach Cobbler, YUMMY!

Now to canning - Peach Melba is one of my favorites. (peach/raspberry)

I also have these recipes, but have not tried them yet:
Peach Mango Butter
Brandy Peach Conserve
Peach Pineapple
Tropical Peach Conserve

You can also make the inside of a peach pie. (no crust) Lay plastic wrap in a pie plate and pour the Peach pie filling in and smooth. Freeze until hard. Pull out of the pie plate, wrap up and put in a ziploc bag and put back in the freezer. Then when you want a pie, make the crust, put the frozen (do not thaw) pie filling in the crust. Seal the top crust to the bottom crust and bake. You will have to bake it a bit longer, and it will be more juicy, but it's very good.

I like a spoonful of my home canned strawberry preserves on cold cereal. Breakfast tastes like dessert.
Mmmm!

I put it on my oatmeal then I do not have to add any other sweetener.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone has a great canning recipe for figs? My daughter bought a house last spring and we were surprised to find one of the trees was a fig tree. I'd love to can them whether it's making jam, butter, whole or whatever is good. Any recipes?

I'm going to go pick the rest of my grapes that are ripe and make grape jam. I found an easy recipe for table grape jam.

This is what I've got. Fig/Strawberry jam with balsamic vinegar, Dried fig jam, Fig and Italian Plum conserve, Fig Orange Jam, Lemon Fig and Lavender Marmalade, Fig and vanilla Jam.

I don't have figs so I've not made any of these. Lord have mercy I'd never have time for anything else if I made all the jams that look good.
