What are you canning now?

LOL sorry don't mean to laugh.. I can't stand dogs because they destroy yards.. I have one and got her as an older dog. She is fine :p but pups... no way not anymore.  Has to be 2 years or older :p  Sprinkle Ceyenne powder on things.  You can mix it into a substance and paint it on your bark, give them cow hooves to chew on too.  Your dogs may be possibly lacking something in their diet too. do you feed them just standard dog food?  If so, try grain free.  They will eat less and chew less. Also feed them cheap ground beef. a few cups of dry food and  1/2 lb of raw burger, as well as your table scraps will satisfy any doggie :) And they will calm down.

Just don't feed them much onion. No grapes at all, and sparing on avocado as well.

I have to laugh about it because I didn't even want the dogs my hubs did and he said we couldn't just get one. Big mistake. Lol. They are fed a better quality dry grain free food but one refuses to eat the dry food by itself so they get it with a little plop of wet food which isn't the best probably. I think they would just enjoy more space but that's just my wistfulness in wanting more space. They even dug up the Internet cable one day. They have been the most expensive dogs I've ever owned. Lol. But I've also never gotten pups before them. Now at 2 1/2 they are slowly getting better. I hope. Ha

Quote: Oh good grief he sound like mine! LOL only he knows I won't do two dogs. One is enough!

yes you are hitting the golden age of settling out. Well motivate hubby to move to a bigger place he he. Yeah they like space.. but no matter how much.. it's not enough for the beasties. My Caleb who has passed had 4,000 acres when we lived on a cattle ranch... he still ate all my potted pants and bags of potting soil.. tore through the trailer door. And brought home rotten cow legs to add aroma to my yard. :p

Looks good! What recipe are you using?

I did 6 &1/2 quarts of dill pickles last night and I have a gallon of sliced pickles in brine to make more sweet chip pickles.

Finished 18 pints of beef/veggie stew yesterday. Was my first time with stew. All but 1 didn't seal so we had one to try out. Delicious. DH thought the broth would be thicker, not soup-like. But he can drop in a little beurre manie while he's heating it.

My favorite time of year. Just got done doing sweet hot peppers, and freezing corn. Plus, I have 3 new peeps, and one pipping under mama!
