What are you canning now?

We have to have a certified canning kitchen, so a bakery wouldn't work. I understand not answering the other stuff. It's cool.. sorry to ask a bit too much.

Your stuff looks great, thanks so much for the ideas!!! See ya on TEG!

Oh sorry, I missed the rest actually! No I cover all my business stuff such as taxes and stuff. We have our own business tax ID and everything so its no extra for them. They collect in state sales tax on sales there though, so that is the only thing that doesn't bother me. Their sales are 'wholesale' from me using their tax ID.

The tax stuff is really what bothers me, and it usually costs me $200-$300 a year in self-employment tax to boot.

If that's not what you were asking, forgive me for not 'getting' the question right!

I am out of grape juice from last year's canning and we drank all this year's fresh. Now I know I need like 10 Quarts or more of this stuff on hand next year!

I hope you stock up enough Jojo!

I ran out of everything last year but my adult son was living here then. He would got into the cold storage room and take a quart of juice and drink it all right from the quart. I'll be using alot less of everything this year.

I did hot pepper jelly for the first time today, and sampled it with sausages for dinner

So so so good!!!
I pickled some radishes for the fridge and got a jump on the apple jelly by making the juice for tomorrow. Sewed my very first jelly bag too!
Made an awesome dinner, an apple crisp and I've got a bun in the oven on top of it all

I'm a little tired! Having some tea on the couch with BYC, resting up for another day of it tomorrow before guests come!

Hello everyone I am sure enjoying this thread and have read through 225 pages so far, you all are so awsum, and I'm so jealous of all the beautiful canned things you all are doing........
But I have a question about growing Banana Melons? has anyone here ever grown them? how do you tell if they are ripe? what color should they be?
I'm asking because I don't think they are ready yet and we are getting a hard frost tonight even covering them will be ify....... as its suppose to get down to 27 or so.
Can I pick them and let them finish ripening in the house? like Cantaloupes or Water Melons will? Help anyone with a suggestion would be greatly appreciated. TY so much.
