Ive been officially cut off from DH ...no more jars! I tried to explain that Ill have a bunch for next year that I wont have to buy! He seems to think 50+ cases is enough? Silly man! Lol
I have a kitchen aid, and the grinder attachment, but not the strainer attachment. Instead I have a victorio strainer and i absolutely LOVE it! It has 5 or 6 different blades for different fruits/veggies (a tomato/apple one, a pumpkin one, a salsa one, a small berry one...). It probably isn't as easy as the kitchen aid as it is manual, but the kids love helping with it. I do use my grinding attachment on my kitchen aid for my great grandma's mustard relish though!Does anyone have the food strainer attachment for the kitchen aid mixer and use it for straining off the skins and seeds from cooked tomatoes and apples to make sauces? I was just wondering how it worked for you before I get the attachment? I read about it the other day on a different site and it looks like it would be easier. I already have the food grinder piece so this just attaches onto the end of it, I believe....
Has anybody used the Mrs. Wages spaghetti sauce mix? Or do you have a favorite spaghetti sauce recipe you love for canning? Thanks!
