Back in 1970, my dad went shopping for a new "stereo", using this song as a test. As complete, lazy ignoramuses, my brother and me only vaguely thought such a thing worthy our time.
But I never got tired of this sound. it's just right. 2 years later, with the best sounding system in the neighborhood, it did sound good.
Good old dad, I miss him terribly
We blew out the front window on moby dick.
For the technically minded: we got a Pioneer SX1010 reciever (100 watts!) An Elac Miracord turntable (I owned a bang und olufsen beogram 6000 at this time)
2 AR7 bookshelves in ther front and 2 big Boston Accoustics speakers, arrayed accordingly. Very advanced for the time, at least in canuckistan.
Anybody else hear of commercial electronics? On burrard?
