BROODER BOX AND COOP SET UP TODAY.... GETTING READY SHOULD GET THEM TUESDAY! *crosses fingers*
they will be free ranging mostly all day long... we were talking about it after my husband set up the coop and we think we may buy another of the same coop and make them into one... not right now of course but in a couple months later on.. to give them more room

I thought about getting a bator... but they are pricey $$$ i did she one on sale at TSC a few weeks ago on sale for $40 i may get one the next time they are on sale.. wow you have quiet the collection dont ya? i think the baby ducks are the cutest thing i ever did see... too bad they grow up?

Its our first year with livestock so we got the selection . I got the bator from TSC too when It was on sale . I got one runt duckling that is only 1/3 of the size. At two weeks old its only 90gram, just over 3oz while the others are all 3x that size. So this one prob. always stays tiny, it already has pet status and was named Derpy by my kids.

My order is coming from McMurray Hatchery, I ordered from their ornamental layer collection, all pullets. I ordered 25, but they are throwing in 3 extra rare breeds. The ornamental layers are said to be a variety of Cochins, Campines, Red Caps, the exotic Polish varieties, ect. So, I really have no idea what I will be seeing BUT I got my shipment info Saturday, and says they should be here TOMORROW! Post office should be calling around 6:30am for us to pick up!! Ahhh! Im over the moon! I have the brooder set up, and turned the heat on and will leave it on over night to be sure its warm and ready early in the morning!! WOOT!!

LOL! Im like OVER THE MOON!!! I told my husband I wont be able to sleep tonight, like a little kid! hahaha Here is my brooder, nothing special ! Now it needs some fuzzy butts!!
