Their site says it can take 1-10 business days for them to send you a shipping date, but for all I knew that would be in July! We want chicks now!! lol. Kinda bummed that we aren't getting wyandottes, but I guess there is always next year!! Do not tell DH that I am already talking about next years chicks!! l

I checked out your brood last night they are so stinkin' cute!! I can't wait for my kids to get home from schools so I can show them your chick foot ball video!

hahah the chick football games are my kids favorite thing to watch!!! :) we try and do them every night by pinning some of the flying bugs outside down with our broom.. well wyandottes you can get from chickensforbackyards min 3 chick order :) *hint hint* lol right now im loosing my mind... they are getting too big for the 54 gallon tote and they are only almost 4 weeks old (4wks sun) i wish i could put them outside already.. lol they are driving me nuts.. i clean their water and within a hour looks just as it did before i cleaned it...*mumbles* they are going through one of those 22-24" feeders every 2 or 3 days now.. little pigs!!! lol

My kids loved the video and can't wait to try it out themselves! My oldest son is constantly finding big crickets for his lizard to eat so I'm sure he will be doubling his efforts for the chicks!
I bet they are driving you a little nuts! Just think of all of those lovely eggs you will have in a few months!

...... I'm off to stalk wyandottes on chickensforbackyards before hubby gets home from work.....

Yes chicken math at my house is more like chicken multiplication... Started with 4 adopted Leghorn hens full grown. Then 2 EE, 2 SLW, 2 JG & 2 BB chicks from the feed store. Then 5 frizzle chicks, 9 BLRW chicks mail order and a hatching order for 8 more. So what started as 4 now has become 34. Lol. Had to build a new coop before the 1st one was even 2 weeks old.

That's so funny! I wanted a few chickens for meat and eggs, and before I knew it, I had ordered 32! I hope to start building the new coop this weekend. 8x16 with 18 (double stacked) nesting boxes. The funny thing is, I'll be starting with chicks, so they won't need the boxes till sometime this fall!

I think I mentioned I broke (waiting until June for our big shipment is just too rough!) and got three EEs and a Bantam Turken a few weeks ago. Here is a picture I took of two of them yesterday :)
