i just got 5 baby chicks! ther are so cute!! i have a barred rock, buff orpington, wyandotte, jersy giant, and either a partraige, or a plymouth.

Waiting on 2 australorps 1 easter egger and cuckoo maran, 3 weeks from yesterday...the wait is killing me!

So my husband just couldn't wait until Saturday to get the chicks in I made a trip to TSC and bought 6 Golden Comets

I am so jealous of your wyandottes. I'm kind of eyeballing some silkies that I could get the first week of may. I'm trying to decide if they would all be okay together if I did. I'd also LOVE to have an olive egger.... my how fast this chicken thing snowballs! Lol. Maybe I should be a little more worried about getting the coop built (hubby thinks he's go it under control).

that rooster is a hoot!!! lol ... i know what you mean about the coop... my almost 4 week olds are getting too big for the 54 gallon tote... and its too windy and cold for them to be in the pre-fab coop we got for them... and the big shed hasnt been converted yet... *coughs* husband hasnt even touched it yet.... hes been planning on fixing it up for a month now and not a thing has been touched.. hasnt been cleaned out or nothing..

I totally understand. We shopped around some last week for the materials to start building, I think hubby has a good idea what he wants to do but I've seen no action yet... I may have to get my DS who is ten out there to get something started and hubby might just follow! If I had any idea how to build something like that I'd be out there getting it started myself! lol, but trust me that would not be beneficial to anyone!! But we'll see how fast he gets going when we have 16 fuzzy, loud, stinky chicks in the house annoying him!
