man ,I had to pick my jaw off the floor ..I went back and tracked my order and now it says it will be delivered the 10th instead of the 9th..i called the number given with the tracking number and the woman said there was nothing she could do ..I told her "I don't want to go pick up a box of dead chicks from the po with my granddaughter" ...I had set it up for it to be a little day of it ..wont that be a big day in her life now ..

sorry if I sound a little upset but come on ..I am more upset that my chicks may or may not be suffering ..needlessly ..

@wendychicklawyr, were all your chicks in good shape when they arrived?

@wny egger, I'm so sorry... I had a similar vision in my head. I planned to pick my son up at school so he could go with me to pick up the chicks. But now I'm not sure that's a good idea. It's been so long how could they possibly be okay?

Next batch I will try to buy them more local so I have more control. This is nuts!

Thanks Sled483! I just realized you're in MA so this gives me hope that my chicks were with your in travel. The last truck comes into Manchester, NH at 9pm and I truly hope mine are on it!!!

I ordered 41 they sent i think 44, one was doa. the rest were healthy, but i lost 2 more in a month. But i had 2 orders from 2 different hatcheries, total of 79 or so, i had all kinds of issues, but i got a lot of birds, so i think that may be why. Both hatcheries credited me and are awesome. I am in central florida btw, and i had mine sent to a main dist center in tampa, so drove there to pick them up to save time.

Beriel that is exactly what my tracking said all day. Luckily I had a great postal employee that spent the day making phone calls. If he hadn't called Brockton earlier today im sure they would have just shipped them for tomorrow instead of calling me. I did hear and see other boxes of chicks there. Hopefully yours are on their way.

I'm waiting on 1 Easter Egger, 1 Olive Egger, 1 Blue Ameracauna, 1 Black Copper Marans, 1 Blue Silkie, 1 Buff Orpington, 1 Light Brahma, 1 Dominique, & 2 Polish from MPC.

It's my first batch of chicks and I am hooked already!!!

Where did you get your Olive Egger and your Blue Ameracauna? Backyards chickens do not have those two breeds
