OMG! I am so ready! I want my baby chicks. They Ship on the 30th. I feel like a kid waiting for Xmas morning to come. It's unbearable.

I am so bad! I am what I call "Monkish" or I guess a perfectionist. Then I find myself in a waiting posture and I hate waiting!!! ha ha. I guess the chicks will be here around the 2nd .... NOT patiently waiting.

They came!! Oh I'm so excited I'm driving my entire family & even all my facebook friends crazy from being so happy and posting photos! ...

I bought all of the day old Easter Eggers they had available. I was so excited to find them I almost did a "snoopy dance" right there in the middle of the store.

My husband has cut me off from buying any more babies this year, says I've lost it, and he's probably right considering I will have 32 chickens now once these new babies are all grown up, but OMG they're so cute!! :-D

2 White Leghorn, 2 Barred Ply Rock, 3 Easter Eggers, 2 Cocco Maran, 1 Mystery. And they are going to be spoiled Rotten! I just hope they all make it.

Thanks, I know better. It is the same reason that I do not go to animal shelters. I would try and adopt all the little puppies there!

Received 8 BLRW today from Sunset Meadow Farms. No heat pack for the 2 day journey.... 2 chicks don't look so good. I have given them both a drop of Nutri-drench and a little water by dropper. How often should I do this and anything else I should be doing?

I was the same way while I was pregnant with my son lol. As it is, I have my chicks but haven't built the second coop to house them. The coop I have (hubby built for me) is large enough for about 20 - 25, but I'll have 32 or so when I'm done, depending on how many of these new straight run chicks I bought yesterday will be male... I'm not keeping more than 2 roos... Silly straight run-ish-ness...
