WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? WHAT DID YOU JUST RECEIVE?

Oooooo fun. My plan is after a few years if my new laying hens get to where they do not produce well I want to try my hand at getting one of my dads roosters to have date nights and hatch my own chicks.

I have incubated, hatched and raised dozens of corn snake eggs in my years. Chicken eggs can't be too much harder with proper research.

It's not that hard. I tried my hand at it about 5 years ago and now, we do it every year. This year I will be having clost to 150 chicks by the time I get my chicks from cackle and my eggs hatch, and that is only if I expect 1/4 to 1/3 hatch rate. if its 100% then I will have way over what I call our Maximum amount allowed. Then you all will see me standing by the road saying baby chicks for sale $1 each

Lucky for me Brenda said she would take a few, however if I get a 100% hatch rate she better be taking over 100 of them.

They're here! They're here! Less than one day from Ohio to VA... I'm impressed with the USPS! Looks like our mystery chick is another Buff Orpington. They are all eating, drinking, pooping, and napping. I'm in love! :D

Wow that was fast, I wish my eggs from Missouri had gotten here that fast took 6 days and they were not sent priority mail either. Could almost kick the ladies backside. Lady at the post office told me that they were sent regular mail and not 2nd day. So the insurance doesn't cover them. Sucks but I can hope and pray they hatch.

nice ..those are some cutties for sure ..I was going to order buff orps ,but I would have had to wait another few weeks ..and you now how the waiting gasme goes..lol

I had called earlier in the day and expressed my concern for the well being of the chicks and they were nice enough to promise to call me if they were on the 9pm truck. The post office was not open. They had me park at the employee entrance and call a cell phone number of one of the employees when I arrived. They were so nice!!!
That is wonderful! You obviously have chicken lovers at you PO

I originally ordered through tractor supply and I am getting 31 chickes from Privett. I got 8 ameraucanas, 8 buff orpingtons, 5 cuckoo marans, 5 dominiques, and 5 white rocks coming around the 1st of may. I got the chicken fever and bought 6 partridge rocks and 6 production reds from tsc a week later and I ordered 10 silkies from ideal pouiltry and they ended up shipping me 11 extra RIR roos. I really want more but I know I can't :(:barnie
