Good day everyone
I got this lil dude yesterday as a replacement male for my hen, it's my first time getting brahma chick direct from the hatchery instead of a breeder as I usually do, he's obviously a male and I believed he was buff until I got a good look at him today, he's more of red than buff if I'm not mistaken and I haven't seen anything like him on the internet

That's why I brought the question here Incase anyone have a clue

It appears to be red Colombian. They legs are pinkish white instead of yellow, as Brahmas are supposed to have. I'm not sure what is going on with this bird. Do you know the hatchery?

I'm going to guess that it's just on the darker side of buff. I've seen some photos online of buff rooster, and they're more reddish. I don't know if they get that coloring this early on though. The white legs are a little strange.

By red Colombian I just meant he has the Colombian pattern but with red instead of buff or white. Could he be an olive egger instead of a Brahma? Or maybe there was a mistake in one of the breeding pens? I am not seeing red Brahmas offered by any hatchery.

Are his legs surpose to be another coloration?

We have various hatchery here in Nigeria and the companies really don't breed true with varieties they just produce brahma chicks that's why a lot of us prefer to get from personal breeders
