No actually. That chick I showed just hatched a few days ago. His mother is a new addition to my flock. This is my first year introducing barring and sexlinked barring. However, if you search up Black sexlink cockerels, you can see some examples of offspring that plays with sexlinked barring.Do you have some to show pictures as adults?!
Are you sure all are mutts? This one looks like a hatchery-quality RIR (Rhode Island Red).View attachment 3009720

I’m not sure. Some i got from a feed store. Some i got from a fellow breeder friendAre you sure all are mutts? This one looks like a hatchery-quality RIR (Rhode Island Red).
If she were mine, I would cross her with the Welsummer/Welsummer cross. What would be a good male to cross her with??
Ah okay.I’m not sure. Some i got from a feed store. Some i got from a fellow breeder friend
I will add one thing though. Barring is a dominant gene, which means a bird with barring in their genotype have to show it. HOWEVER, barring is white stripes, not black stripes, so it can hide on a white bird.Nope. Thats why BSLs are so easy to create
Below is a male sexlink. Males will have a headspot.
Does he have feathered feet? Just looks like a barnyard mix to be. Could be a cross of a cross.View attachment 3009731
