What breed and gender is my chick

Hi guys!!
This baby came and jumped on me last night while I was walking to my car. He/she seemed scared so I took it in, I am assuming its about 6 weeks. I live in an area where religious practices sacrifice chickens and we have many chickens walking around so the amount of sacrificed chickens left on the roads have doubled. I want to protect it but I know nothing about its needs. I could really use the help
