What breed are my chickens and are they both hens ?

They don't look like Rocks to me, they look like one of the Leghorn-based hybrids.

If you've only had them 5 days, it's possible they're both laying, just alternating. Both appear to be mature and of an age to lay, so I guess time will tell. Sometimes the stress/upset of moving will throw a hen off laying for a while.
