Ameraucanas do lay shades of blue and green eggs. I have three.

Yes Ameraucanas can lay green but it is utmost preferred they do not.

Green legs though, Ameraucanas just flat out don't have.

All Ameraucanas have SLATE BLUE legs, read the Standard of Perfection and also the Ameraucana Breeders Club site. Willow legs, which have yellow soles, are a disqualification.

Every hatchery except Meyer sells their Easter Eggers as Ameraucanas, "Americaunas" or worse, Araucanas (McMurray is guilty of that one). People don't know better than to think hatcheries give the word of God, and they distribute this misinformation and mislabeled birds as a result.

I always face-palm when people spell it that way.. I'm in 4H, and I've done Avian Bowl before and one of the questions was to spell Ameraucana. I noticed "Spell Check" doesn't accept Ameraucana, they request Americana .. that's why people also get confused a lot.
