Red sex links and stars have light wings. These chicks are a darker red.

Sure, it's always possible to get a pullet or two by mistake. I just meant that in the catalogs, the hatcheries tell you that they provide "males for warmth". I just don't want to get someone's hopes up that they have a bunch of extra pullets.

Yeah, they usually send the extra males as extras, or to a processing plant for dog or cat food.

i got some better photos today and also noticed that there a two colors are they the same breed or just diffent shades i also noticed that the two darker ones have a redish bill and litghter one don't

Red sex link chicks do not look all the same. Some have RIR or Hampshire roosters and white rock, silver laced Wyandotte, or Delaware hens....
