What breed are these orphaned ducklings?

Orphaned ducklings were found running around somewhere with no sign of their mother. We supervised them for multiple hours with no mother in sight. Could anyone identify the breed?

They look like @The Phantom's Hooded Mergansers, but I bet @MGG will know.
 
What part of the world do you live in? I researched some wild ducks in North America and the closest one I found was Goldeneye duck. They look a little dark compared to your ducklings though.View attachment 3521348
I live in North America. I have looked at goldeneye ducks but I am unsure if it is them. Just was wondering if anyone would know for sure

I did the same and came up with a few common ones you might see at a lake or pond. You probably came up with a better result than I did.
