A lot of places on the internet say that Dark Cornish are really poor layers (1 egg week per hen), but I've read about a lot of BYCers who were getting 5-6 eggs week from each of their Dark Cornish hens.
Wow, like i said im totally new to this, but my wife had chickens as a child, with this economy we figured we would try to collect the eggs and maybe later on might start to hatch some. Thank you for the info. so far i have learned a lot on this site
I have a mix of a lot of breeds in my flock. I have 2 dark cornish hens that are just over a year old. Both of them have been broody twice! They are good mommas. Mine also lay 4-5 times a week at least.
