I am a new chicken owner (less than a week) and I would really like to know what breed my chickens are. My pictures might not be the best but it is 12:00 at night and as much as I want to I'm not going back out and start taking more pics tonight, but if I need to I will post better ones tom.
This is Henry I think he is a Houdan

This Tina Pretty sure she is Barred Rock. She is great she has already laided 3 eggs and I have only had her 4 days

This is Ariel I have no idea

This is Greta is she a golden comet?

This is Paula also thought golden or blue laced red wyandotte

This is Nova also thought golden

All but tina are about 9 months old. I have been searching all over tring to find out what the were. Tina and Henry i am pretty sure about but the others I just don't know. can anyone help this rookie out.

    Nova is a Yokohama.

The first guy is indeed a Houdan but definitely not what a Houdan should look like (they should be bearded)

Paula likely is what you think she is, but again has faults that make her look like something else. But it's not like you're planning to show her, eh? [IMG]

Greta is a mutt. She looks like a Sex-Link but her color doesn't genetically fit, and her comb appears to be a pea or rose type from here.

    Ariel is also a mutt.

Tina is a Barred Rock, yes.

Some houdan's are beardless by the looks of google images.

    for example...

I agree with the above.. Though I wasn't quite sold on Yokohama for Nova.. Just seems like a mix to me of some sort. I am no expert by any means, so Illa is probably right. I just didn't want to say I thought that as well, when I have no idea. By looking at google images compared to Nova, it just doesn't seem to fit for me.

Only one I'm 100% on is your barred rock! :p

I would agree if her comb and wattles weren't so red. They seem more purpleish on sumatras.

pretty birds! I think the first is a Houdan, second barred rock, Greta is a yokahoma maybe, and your blue one looks like some asian breed, and yes your blue laced
red wyandotte is very pretty I have some too! And Your last one is a yokahoma! Nice flock!

Lots of mixes there. the four in question appear to have game or cornish in them; cornish especially in the wyandotte mix. the last one may have phoenix in it with those long tail feathers.
