I agree, I'd say he's a mix breed. He's a nice, big boy though.Where did you get him? To light to be a Rhode Island Red and not the right tail coloring for a New Hampshire Red. Maybe a mix of one those.
I got him with a flock of 11 hens 2 roosters from a lady who no longer wanted chickens... she had randomly collected them from various people and had no idea of the breeds..Where did you get him? Are you referring to Sex-link hybrids? Because the hens should be red with some white (like this rooster) but the roosters should be White with a few red patches on the shoulder area. Also I thought hybrids don't usually breed true so they wouldn't need to save to males for breeding.He looks like he might be a hybrid, looks just like my hens, but I assumed all of the males were culled after hatching, unless they were to be sent to a breeding farm.
