Looks like a RSL to me too. Ours was the sweetest bird we had, but she became an internal layer and died. Sorry you didn't get the RIRs you were supposed to.

none of my red stars have combs like that! but maybe bc red stars are a hybrid you can get all kinds of stuff in there

Not sure about the sex linked, looks that way to me. But...... I had a BO/RIR mix, that looked just like that. Would that be a possibility? Either way, you didn't get what you paid for. But I would rather have her than some of my RIR hens they can be overly moody:cd
