Mistakenly from a guy on Craigslist he had a lot of birds. He said that these were barred rock pullets. Poor guy was sick and weak when we bought him. Lesson learned about buying off of Craigslist all my ladies were bought from a reparable breeder.

I have purchased some lovely and healthy birds off of Craigslist, though I do agree you have to be really careful. I recommend asking for photos before going to see any birds in person. There are a lot of scammers out there unfortunately.

He can’t be a barred rock, due to his pink/white legs, and can’t be a Dominique due to the single comb. Not a purebred marans either, since he has leakage and only one copy of the barring gene. I’m guessing that he’s a cuckoo marans mix.

He's a mix. Most hatcherys' Black Sex Links mixes have yellow skin, unlike yours. Yours seems to be a Cuckoo Marans mix.
