I've got a pullet (almost hen though, only a few months) that recently went broody. I'm going to get fertilized eggs or chicks for her but I want them to be the same species.
My hen is white with black stripes. She's more white than black and her stripes are spread. She hasn't got more than forty, and that's me being generous. Her feather's don't 'end' with black and start with white. She might be an 'American' hen but I'm not sure.
What I know she's NOT ;
Barred plymouth rock (or any type of rock -I think)
Dominique
Hamburgh
Scots Dumpy & Grey
Wybar
I'll post a picture later.
Can anyone try to guess what breed she might be? Otherwise I might just get an Icelandic (my other pullet is an Icelandic, they're BFF's). At the moment I'm guessing she's some type of mix, -I got her from a local farm and forgot to ask what breed she was.
