Were they pinkish? Some EEs lay pinkish eggs. Or perhaps she's just a mix that happens to look like an EE. Or, maybe the eggs belonged to one of the other birds and she just sat on it while she was broody. Lots of possibilities. You'll have to let us know when she lays

Yes, an EE can lay any color egg. They just commonly lay blue/green eggs.

Pink is pretty uncommon.

We had a brown egg layin' EE. She was cute. Very shy, could NOT disturb her on the nest otherwise she wouldn't dare go there till she was sure was safe (could be a hour, could be a day).

She most likely collected other eggs, unless she had a secret nest then decided to sit on it.
