Yeah, its a random assorted bin banty from a tractor store, so genetics may not be ideal OR best, heads up!

it used to be almost pure white, then had black zig-zag lines against the white wings now it is almost pure Black, as u can see.. lol

Really? the shape doesnt look cochin like to me...
All the cochins I have ever had always have had the awkward, YET simply adorable shape and little odd shaped tailfeathers, any cochins i have had ALWAYS have the cochin shape and tail. I buy from the same tractor store, too, so who knows, only time will tell,

I’m not sure what it is, but its definitely not a Cochin. Cochins are feather legged and that chick is not.

Agree. Mottled Japanese bantam.
The chick has mottling in some feathers. Mottled Japanese chicks are white with a black dot or more on their heads.

Omg that's what i was thinking no wonderi was like im fairly certain i am familiar enough with cochins to notice one by the age this one is,
the distinct shape the cochin has the so cute yet awkward shape of them and the odd shape tailfeathers. Yes and the fact, its clean legged duh and my friend just took my.banty cochin who i bought same time as i bought this one in this Thread and it was larger bult, feathered feet two totally dif shapes and breeds lol

Just a tip, bantam cochins also have a very unique shape to them too. Their feathers don't curve upwards like the chick in the picture.
