It hatched from a brown egg. No idea what the mom was, but I suspect the dad was the silkie rooster pictured here:

That makes sense. So Silkie father means the chick is a Silkie cross. The chick's coloring makes me think it will be buff or red, probably with darker markings in some places. It has a beard and will probably have a small crest. It sure is cute!
