Rusty is 1.5 weeks old in this picture. I’m wondering if anyone could give me their best guess as to what she’s crossed with. She should be part Wyandotte. Other part options are red sex link, cuckoo maran, Orpington, RIR and Wyandotte.
She has feathered feet and a straight comb. She is feathering the fastest.

Thanks for your help :)

Of the breeds listed, marans is the only option due to feathered shanks

The other chicks from my red sex links have light feathering on their legs to.

Is the wyandotte your cock? Is that your only cock? What color/variety of wyandotte is he?
2 of the possible roosters are Blue laced red and the other possible rooster is the cuckoo maran but he was only paired with GLW and Blue laced red Wyandotte. All these chicks look cuckoo maran except this one.

Wyandotte x standard red sex link would not yield feathered shanks....

This chick is not out of your Wyandotte rooster otherwise it'd be rose combed.

Not always. My rooster is not homozygous for rose comb. One of my pure wyandotte chicks is straight combed.

Well picked them up from TSC... the black sex link actually has some feathers on her legs and the reds have bumps that sometimes sprout feathers but they don’t grow much. Their eggs are chocolate like the copper marans so maybe there was a mix up.

Thanks everyone I guess it’s maran mix or something. Can’t wait to see what it ends up looking like.
