All roosters will crow eventually minus the outliers. I had roosters that grew up together and only one ever crowed, the dominant one. The other 2 never did for many many months. I rehomed the dominant one and sure enough the next in line started crowing. After I rehomed him the last one became the dominant one and began crowing. Your little guy will surely start crowing at one point or another. Good luck!Oh! I'm actually brand to chickens but I thought all roosters crow.
If you were a middle school kid hanging around an older teenager who might beat you up if you mouthed off, would you mouth off? It's not unusual for beta males to crow later and less frequently than alphas. If Boo is a rooster than why hasn't he began to crow like his buddy, Roo is?
All the more reason for him to try and blend into the scenery.Boo and Roo are the same age. I do also have a RIR rooster, Mr. Rooster who is 3-4 years old.
I would say EE Cockerel...because of the wing color..How old ?Yup! Looks like an EE to me! Also looks like a pullet, but the red feather on the wings are confusing, as that normally means cockerel!
