What breed is this hen?

She could be a crossbred but everything I see is pointing to her being a Blue Laced Buff Brahma.

I knew as soon as she started to feather that she wasn’t BO. The guy got out of chickens, so I don’t think there’s much to be done. She’s a nice addition to my flock though, and a great layer, so I’m not too upset

Well, as a chicken mathematician... I know accidental mating can happen and such... in addition to possibly just being misinformed. So I mostly meant for their own knowledge.

Sometimes, crosses are the best! It's fun to have unique birds... especially of they are healthy good laying flock members.

Absolutely! I let my hens sit on eggs all the time. I love my mixes just as much as my purebreds.

Huh. Never seen one of these, but I Googled images, and you're right. That's pretty much what she looks like.

She's either a splash laced red brahma or a wyandotte mix.

Silver Laced Red Wyandotte body, for sure. But the feathered legs come from something else. She looks a lot like my hen, Beulah.

Hard to know for sure, but she looks like a Brahma/Wyandotte cross. She is a striking bird.
