What breed is this rescued chicken?

We rescued this chicken from the slaughter house a couple
Of Months ago and I’m wondering what breed is she?

I agree! Enjoy your girl, ISA brown are wonderful birds, always very friendly. Some do experience reproductive issues, so be aware of that

She's a sex link production hen. There are various strains. In the USA they tend to get called ISA Browns, here in the UK, Red Sex Links. Some of the strains are Golden Comets, HyLIne, Hubbards, Production Reds. Lohmann Brown. There are quite a few variations.
I think they are lovely looking chickens. The main thing you should know is they don't live long. 4 years old is a good age for these high production breeds.

Looks like she was in a bad condition. Im glad she is safe now+

I've also been looking for an ex-battery hen to adopt for a long time. I've reached out to several rescues over the past 2 years and no luck. They seem unusually hard to find. May I ask where you got your girl?
